According to Ug News Media Europe,The Israeli defense technology company “Rafael” opens its office in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).Ug News Media Europe reports that this news was published by “The Jerusalem Post” newspaper.”Rafael”, one of the world’s leading companies in the defense industry, stated that its new office in the UAE “will enable us to explore opportunities in the region using innovation.” Speaking at the RAFAEL IDEX and NAVDEX defense industry conferences, the company’s president and CEO, Major General Yoav Har-Even, announced the opening of the new office at a ceremony attended by Emirati and Israeli officials.The president of the company, which is preparing for the “IDEX 2023” defense industry exhibition, said that a number of innovative defense technologies, including the “IRON BEAM” high-energy laser weapon system (HELWS), will be demonstrated at this event.This weapon, developed by Israeli specialists, will increase the capabilities of the air defense systems called “Iron Dome”.Har-Even noted that “the new office in Abu Dhabi, which joins the company’s global network, will create better conditions for establishing relations with governments, customers and defense industry leaders.He added: “Another concrete step towards strengthening Rafael’s relations with the UAE inspires. We can now say that through this first investment we have built a bridge to Abu Dhabi and we are pleased to continue to expand the relationship that has been developed.”It should be noted that Israeli defense industry contractors “Israel Aerospace Industries” and “Elbit” opened their offices in the UAE at the end of 2021.Big presentations of both companies will be organized at the “IDEX 2023” exhibition, which will be opened on February 19 in Abu Dhabi.
