According to Ug News Europe,On March 6, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani as part of his business trip to Qatar to participate in the Fifth UN Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC5).”Ug News Europe” was informed about this by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.At the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of bilateral political relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar, and the prospects of future cooperation in economic-trade, investment, finance, industry, energy, transport, education, tourism, culture and other fields were discussed.Minister Jeyhun Bayramov gave detailed information about the current situation in the region, the restoration and construction works carried out by the Azerbaijani government in the territories freed from occupation, the transport and communication projects implemented in the region with the initiative and participation of Azerbaijan, and it was emphasized that there are opportunities for cooperation in these directions.At the same time, opportunities for cooperation within the Alat Free Economic Zone were discussed.Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani noted that his country is interested in comprehensive cooperation with Azerbaijan.The parties exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
