Norway has withdrawn its bid to host the 2027 Ice Hockey World Cup.

According to Ug News Media Europe,The Norwegian Ice Hockey Federation (NIHF) has withdrawn its bid to host the 2027 World Cup after the Ministry of Culture and Equality refused funding.”Ug News Media Europe” informs that the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) announced this.
The tournament was planned to be held in Berum and Trondheim.
Tage Pettersen, head of the NIHF, said the organization was “disappointed by the rejection without a preliminary dialogue”.
“The ice hockey world championship will be the biggest winter sports event since the 1994 Olympics and will be of great importance for Norwegian sports,” Pettersen added.
Norwegians last hosted the World Cup in 1999. It was noted that NIHF will try to compete for the 2028 World Championship
