According to Ug News Media Europe,The German government refused to negotiate with Poland on compensation for the damage caused during World War II.
Ug News Media Europe reports with reference to foreign media that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland has released information about this.”The German government does not intend to start negotiations on the issue of compensation for the damage caused to Poland during the Second World War. However, the authorities will continue their efforts to eliminate the damage caused during the German occupation in 1939-1945,” said the statement of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On September 1, the Polish authorities prepared a three-volume report on the losses suffered by Poland as a result of the attack and occupation of Nazi Germany in 1939-1945. According to the document prepared by experts, Warsaw demands 6.2 trillion zlotys ($1.3-1.5 trillion) in reparations from Berlin.
The German government said it saw no reason for reparations, citing Warsaw’s official refusal to pay reparations in 1953. Warsaw, on the other hand, claims that the 1953 treaty was signed under the pressure of the USSR and that it refers to the non-existent Polish People’s Republic and the German Democratic Republic.
