According to Ug News Media Europe,President Ilham Aliyev’s participation in the Davos World Economic Forum this year is a remarkable event. The forum has traditionally been held every year since 1970. The main goal of the forum is to organize discussions of new economic projects with the participation of heads of state and government, international organizations, scientists, influential politicians, economists, and business people.
These views were expressed by Yalçın Hajizadeh, deputy chairman of Ana Vatan Party, political scientist, in his statement to Ug News Media Europe.Y. It also plays an important role in shaping the economic landscape of the world. The new ideas and proposals presented here give new directions to the global economy. Recalling that President Ilham Aliyev participated in the Forum held under the motto “Shifting the Global Balance of Power” for the first time as head of state in 2007, the political scientist said: “At that time, our head of state spoke on the topic of “The growing importance of oil geopolitics” and emphasized that global energy projects are being implemented in our country and stated that it is important for the whole world. Noting that Azerbaijan’s role in energy security is increasing day by day, the head of state noted the importance of the successes achieved in the field of energy for the region as a whole.Sixteen years ago, at the world’s largest economic forum, President Ilham Aliyev touched on the topic of the expected energy threat and talked about the work Azerbaijan is doing in this direction and the role it plays in preventing the threat. This is a clear proof that the head of our state has a clear vision of the future.
The political scientist noted that the invitation of President Ilham Aliyev to the World Economic Forum, where global issues are discussed and important decisions are made in the economic life of the world, is another indicator of the high reputation of our head of state in the international world.The forum is important from the point of view of once again presenting Azerbaijan’s economic and transport communication opportunities and energy projects.It can be said with certainty that this year’s Davos Forum will make an important contribution to the realization of new economic opportunities in our territories freed from occupation, and attracting investment in green and renewable energy fields.”Under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan is strengthening its relations with the countries of the European Union and other states in various fields, as well as in the economic field. One of the main goals of the President of Azerbaijan’s participation in the opening of the Sustainability Week held in Abu Dhabi before Davos was to strengthen relations with the participating countries, support cooperation on clean energy, attraction of investments and expansion of the application of new technologies.
As a whole, the bilateral and multilateral meetings and discussions conducted by the President of Azerbaijan within the framework of international events in recent years will allow our country to attract more investments and technology to the field of renewable energy. At the same time, this will stimulate the development of the economy of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, and will accelerate the attraction of investments in those areas.
