The political course of our head of state is carefully watched and studied by the world. Azerbaijan is known as a state that offers optimal solutions to difficult geopolitical challenges. The position of our country directly affects important decisions in the world.
Tural Ismayilov, the sector manager of the Center for Social Studies (STM), political scientist, expressed these views in his statement to Ug News Europe.He noted that Azerbaijan is one of the permanent participants of the Munich Security Conference. The important and key geopolitical positions of our country, as well as the geographical position of Azerbaijan on important communication points, are accepted by everyone. The head of state or other levels actively participates in the annual meetings of Azerbaijan MTK. One of the few heads of state invited to this year’s MTK is the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
The expert said that the invitation of the head of state to participate in the two meetings in the main program of the conference is an indication of great respect for his personality as a leader and speaker, as well as the acceptance and recognition of his leading role in ensuring the security of the South Caucasus on a global issue such as energy security of our country. Ensuring Europe’s energy security, diversification of these routes, green energy, opening of regional communication lines, initiatives and successful policy of our country in issues such as the Middle Corridor, effective partnerships established, peace agenda actively promoted in the South Caucasus are in the interest of an authoritative forum such as MTK.”President Ilham Aliyev’s memorable speeches in Munich in the past years are also known. Interest in Azerbaijan is high at the Munich Security Conference. It should not be forgotten that not only politicians and country leaders, but also companies are represented at the Conference. Therefore, the event will be important from the point of view of attracting new investments to the territories freed from occupation. In recent years, we have observed that important measures are not implemented without the views and position of Azerbaijan,” said T. Ismayilov.
