According to Ug News Europe,A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana to our country Mrs. Oheneba Leslie Akua Akyaa Opoku-Ware.Ug News Europe reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Health that the Minister of Health Teymur Musayev congratulated Oheneba Leslie Akua Akyaa Opoku-Vare on the occasion of his appointment as Ghana’s ambassador to our country.Teymur Musayev noted his activity as the chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement of Azerbaijan: “President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly criticized vaccine nationalism.After the address of the President of Azerbaijan, good achievements were made in this direction. In addition, within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, Azerbaijan will host the next Summit dedicated to the world after COVID-19 next month with the participation of contact group countries.
Noting that bilateral relations are developing in many fields, the minister emphasized that there is great potential for the exchange of experience between national healthcare institutions. Noting that Oheneba Lesli Akua Akyaa Opoku-Vare has great experience in the field of healthcare, Teymur Musayev expressed confidence that our countries will develop.Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Oheneba Leslie Akua Akyaa Opoku-Ware noted that Ghana pays special attention to the development of relations with Azerbaijan. Recalling with satisfaction the visit of the President of Ghana to Azerbaijan in 2019, the ambassador emphasized the effective cooperation of our countries within the framework of international organizations.At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science and potential development opportunities.
