According to ug news Media Europe,We, the people of Lachin, remember with satisfaction the meeting held by President Ilham Aliyev with Mrs.Mehriban Aliyeva on the 50th anniversary of the opening of the 552-family settlement built for IDPs from Lachin in Takhtakorpu area of Aghjabedi district. At the meeting, the head of state’s resolute statement that the settlement built for the displaced people will be temporary and that Lachin people, like all displaced persons, will soon be returned to their ancestral homes, created a strong sense of confidence in each of us. It is gratifying that we are once again witnessing that the word of our President is as important as his signature. Now Lachin is free from the enemy.

This great victory, which is a celebration of our unity over the Armenian invaders, became a reality thanks to the determination, irrevocable political will of the head of state, Ilham Aliyev, and his bravely resisting all the pressures of the Armenian patrons and overcoming all of them. Today we are proud! We are proud that thanks to the determination and courage of President Ilham Aliyev, our holy lands were liberated by ending the 30-year longing. Today, our tricolor flag flies in all our territories freed from occupation, including Lachin.
