Stockholm:(Report by Mujeeb Afghan) According to Ug News Media Europe,Scandinavian countries are preparing for a strong storm.The special correspondent of Ug News Media Europe reports that the first big hurricane of the current year called Otto has approached the coasts of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Otto, which previously covered the northern part of Great Britain, left more than 30,000 homes without electricity and caused serious problems.The wind speed exceeded 100 kilometers per hour. The aftermath of the hurricane is still being dealt with. In some parts of the UK, rail services, as well as ferry services and public transport, have been completely or partially suspended.
An orange alert has been announced in Sweden and Norway. Norwegian authorities have already suspended ferry services and canceled flights at several airports.Due to the current weather conditions, the Swedish Transport Administration has suspended all trains and a number of flights to Malmö and Gothenburg for the next two days. In addition, due to the storm, several other railway lines in the south-west and south of Sweden are not operating. The Swedish Transport Administration has urged motorists not to drive on the roads unless absolutely necessary.A storm has started in neighboring Denmark, especially in North-West and North Jutland. The authorities advised citizens not to leave their residence without a serious reason.In the capital Copenhagen, residents of several high-rise buildings were ordered to leave their apartments. It is reported that those buildings may be in danger of blowing away during the storm “Otto”.
