Karak:(Special Correspondent) According to UG News,Public and social circles of District Karak have expressed deep concern over the silence of local representatives regarding the scholarship funds and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programs meant for the youth of Karak.According to local sources, OJDCL, MOL, and other oil and gas companies have been benefiting from the natural resources of Karak for years, yet little to no contribution has been made toward the educational development and welfare of local students.

Scholarship Funds Ignored

Residents of Karak claim that the Member National Assembly (MNA) and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) have failed to raise their voices for the educational rights of the youth. The CSR and scholarship funds, which rightfully belong to the talented students of Karak, remain undistributed or unaccounted for, with no clear policy or transparency from either the companies or the elected officials.

Statement by Shakir Zeshan Khattak

Social activist Shakir Zeshan Khattak strongly condemned the negligence of local representatives, stating:

“The CSR fund is the rightful property of the students and people of Karak. It must be delivered to them without any political delay or manipulation. If our representatives remain silent, it is a clear act of negligence and irresponsibility.”

He further added:

“It is disappointing to see that our representatives can spend an entire day in front of Adiala Jail for the release of a political figure, yet they remain silent on issues concerning the future and education of Karak’s youth. This is an injustice to the young generation of Karak.”

Call to Action

Shakir Zeshan Khattak urged the youth of Karak to stand united and raise their voices against this injustice so that the CSR funds, scholarships, and development initiatives can be utilized transparently and effectively for the benefit of the people of Karak.
