According to Ug News Europe,On March 3, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Sok Sifana, adviser to the Cambodian government, who is visiting our country within the framework of the Summit meeting of the Contact Group of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on the fight against COVID-19.The press service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Ug News Europe that during the meeting, the prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Cambodia, as well as the current situation in the region and the world, were exchanged.Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted the importance of developing cooperation between the two countries. It was pointed out that the GH chaired by Azerbaijan is a platform that makes significant contributions to the development of relations between member countries.Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that Azerbaijan will spare no effort to expand cooperation within the framework of the National Assembly. The minister also informed the other party in detail about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, especially about mine threats.Cambodian government adviser Sok Sifana said that Cambodia is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan.It was brought to attention that the period of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the National Assembly contributed to the development of the Movement.He emphasized that Azerbaijan and Cambodia have broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, education, and tourism.Acceptance of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan as an observer member of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly was appreciated. At the same time, the parties discussed the prospects of cooperation in the direction of effective mine clearance.At the meeting, other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were exchanged.
