According to Ug News ,As a result of the boat carrying migrants hitting the rocks and sinking on the coast of Italy, the number of people killed has increased to 45. Ug News reports that 80 people have been rescued so far, 20 of them have been hospitalized. A total of 45 bodies were pulled out of the water, among the victims were many children and women.Search and rescue operations are ongoing.It was said that there were 180 or 250 people in the boat, and the number of dead people will exceed 100.Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said that he was saddened by the incident and that it was a crime to put a boat carrying 200 people into the sea in bad weather conditions. He noted that the government is determined to limit the movement of migrant boats and prevent such tragedies.The head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, also said that he was saddened by the death of many people and called on people to pray.The Minister of the Interior of Italy, Matteo Piantedosi, said that what had happened was a great tragedy, and measures to prevent the movement of boats carrying migrants would be continued.
