The PDM movement is not a principle movement

Readers will recall that Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan used to lead the opposition alliance. He started a movement against every government and when his efforts resulted in a change of government and a new government came to power through elections, he did not become a part of it but kept a close watch on it and where he deviated from democratic principles. He tried to establish a personal dictatorship and attacked the freedom of the press. The late Nawabzada again came to him and tried to bring down the government by forming an alliance of opposition parties. It is said that in politics there is no permanent friend and no permanent enemy, friendship and enmity change according to circumstances. Nawabzada Sahib was also a believer in this political tradition. His whole commitment was to democracy and the democratic system. Whenever a civilian government or a military dictatorship attacked this system, he would keep his eyes on it and stand firm against it. Now Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been appointed as the head of the Opposition Alliance, PDM.
But where is that thing of Maulvi Madan?
Fazlur Rehman, of course, is a Maulvi, but he is not a “Maulvi Madan”, ie the late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan. He cannot be compared to Nawabzada Sahib in any way. Maulana Sahib has in the past shared power with the parties with whom he is now fighting the war of “democracy”. They know very well that this is not a war for democracy, this is a war for power. Whoever wins in this conflict, the huma of power will sit on his head and Maulana Sahib will receive his share from him. Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan has made a very interesting statement to him that Maulana Sahib does politics of receiving not principles. Our friends say who is not doing the politics of receipt? Whether it is Sharif brothers or Zardari family, they are all trying not to lose their skin. Here it is not a matter of tails, it is a matter of billions and trillions to save which they are ready to bear any hardship. It is their good fortune that they have a leader like Maulana Fazlur Rehman. However, Waqf-e-Hal says that instead of playing on the wicket of Hazrat Maulana N-League and PPP, he will play on his own wicket and try to run the PDM as he pleases as he also considers himself Sahib-ul-Rai Saeeb al-Ra’i too. That is why the resistance speech delivered by Mian Nawaz Sharif in the APC has been turned into a statement of reconciliation by Hazrat Maulana with great wisdom and has sent a message to the authorities that they have no conflict with the national institutions. They only want to change an incompetent government through peaceful democratic struggle. National institutions should not be resistant in this process. By “national institutions” he means the army and the judiciary. The army has repeatedly stated that it has nothing to do with politics, it is bound by the constitution to help the government of the day. What has the judiciary got to do with politics? He is busy doing justice according to the law. Whether it affects politicians or non-politicians, it is a legal act that has nothing to do with politics, as far as declaring Nawaz Sharif an advertisement and putting up an advertisement for his arrest is concerned. It is a different matter that this is benefiting the Imran government politically.
