According to Ug News Media Europe,Slovak President Zuzana Čaputova has for the first time allowed seven citizens of the country to fight on the side of Kiev in the war in Ukraine.”Ug News MEDIA EUROPE” informs that “Pravda” newspaper published information about this.The press secretary of the head of state, Martin Strijinets, said that Chaputova has adopted 26 orders regarding those who want to fight in Ukraine, 7 of which allow participation in the battles.At the end of February 2022, the Prosecutor General of Slovakia, Maros Zilinka, warned that the country’s legislation prohibits citizens from serving in foreign troops. As an exception, only the relevant order of the President – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces can be.Before that, “Pravda” newspaper wrote that Slovakia sent military equipment worth 170 million euros as a gift to Ukraine, and also signed a contract with Kiev for the supply of such equipment for another 148 million euros.
