According to Ug News Europe,Azerbaijan and Turkey as “One nation, two states” stand by each other in both happy and sad days. We are always together as two brotherly peoples and states. Azerbaijan’s fraternal support in eliminating the consequences of the strong earthquake that occurred in the southern region of Turkey a few days ago also confirms this reality.Sevinj Fataliyeva, deputy chairman of the international relations and inter-parliamentary relations committee of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views in his statement to Ug News Europe.He said that Azerbaijan was the country that provided the first and biggest support to Turkey regarding the earthquake. On the day of the earthquake, President Ilham Aliyev called the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and said that the news about the numerous casualties and destruction caused by the earthquake in the brotherly country shocked and saddened Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his condolences to the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, their families and the brotherly people of Turkey on behalf of the people who died during the earthquake, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Sevinj Fataliyeva noted that on February 8, the President of Azerbaijan visited the Embassy of Turkey in our country and expressed his condolences on the death of many people as a result of the earthquake in the brotherly country. The head of our state emphasized that Azerbaijan, as always, was with brother Turkey from the first minutes and hours after the earthquake: “Azerbaijan, as always, was with brother Turkey from the first minutes and hours, and we have shown our support and solidarity as always.
