“Political instability over the past 12 months has had a negative impact on the kingdom’s manufacturing competitiveness,” the study said. According to the information, during the year, the number of companies that consider Great Britain as an attractive investment platform decreased by two times – from 63 percent to 31 percent.
According to experts, increasing energy costs have a strong impact on investment plans of companies. Urging the government to increase support for businesses, Stephen Phipson, head of the Make UK association, said that even some large businesses could suffer without such support.
