In the bank, 4-5 close people would look at the crown and sign the document related to it. After that, they would be brought to the palace by car together with the guards. After that I would use it in various ceremonies. After using it, they would take it back to the bank with the same guards. 4-5 people would take the crown back, look at it, and then put it in the bank.”
Farah Diba said that the authorities want to “steal” that jewel from the Central Bank. Shahbanu also commented on the Tehran regime bringing this issue to the agenda: “Recently, interest in Pahlavi rule has increased in Iran. They want to seize this jewel in the Central Bank.”
He emphasized that state-owned items are transported from one place to another with permission, regardless of their price: “Why did these gentlemen recall this incident again after 44 years? “The witnesses confirmed that the jewel was in the Central Bank during the past years.”
Farah Diba cited another concrete example of the importance of following protocols related to the protection of state property: “I remember an incident related to the newly built carpet museum. I wanted to bring one of the carpets from the Gulistan Palace to the museum, but they didn’t even give it to me. That is, I should have been given permission. In any case, things belonging to the state could be taken from one place to another with permission.”According to him, things belonging to the family and the Pahlavi dynasty were taken from one place to another: “However, things belonging to the state could not be taken from one place to another.”
