According to Ug News Europe,A decision was made to temporarily suspend trading at the Istanbul Stock Exchange (Borsa Istanbul).”Ug News Europe” informs that “TRT Haber” TV channel broadcasted information about this.”A decision was made to temporarily suspend operations in stock markets, as well as stock indices in the market of stock and derivative financial instruments,” the stock exchange said.
It should be recalled that a 7.7magnitude earthquake occurred in Turkey on Monday morning .President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that this is the strongest earthquake that has occurred in Turkey since 1939. Another 7.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded that day.The devastating earthquake affected 13.5 million people in 10 provinces of Turkey.The number of people who died as a result of the earthquake reached 6,957.As a result of the natural disaster, 38,224 people were injured.
