According to Ug News Europe,Ukrainian Saturday school has started functioning in Azerbaijan.”Ug News Europe” was informed about this by the Embassy of Ukraine in Azerbaijan.It was reported that starting today, the first group of 5-9-year-old Ukrainian children will professionally study the Ukrainian language, history, culture, and Ukrainian folklore at the “Mriya” educational site.The project was implemented in close cooperation with associate professor Yelena Korotkova, head of the department of social-humanitarian subjects and their teaching methodology of the Post-Diploma Pedagogical Education Institute of the Center of Ukraine and Lugansk Region in Baku.
During the open lesson, the wife of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Lyudmila Grebenichenko, congratulated the Ukrainian children on the beginning of the educational process and wished them success and bright emotions during their interesting journey to the land of knowledge.It should be recalled that exactly 60 years ago, a republican conference on the cultural issues of the Ukrainian language was held in Kyiv, and the participants appealed to the higher authorities with the request to grant the status of the state language to the Ukrainian language
