Eid-ul-Adha holds great importance in Islam. The act of Qurbani is not only a religious obligation and a Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), but it also promotes compassion, sacrifice, and unity within society.

In the city of Manchester, United Kingdom, a number of dedicated and kind-hearted individuals collect Qurbani meat during Eid-ul-Adha and distribute it among needy families. The aim of this initiative is to ensure that people who cannot afford meat due to financial hardship are also able to share in the blessings and joy of Eid.

Volunteers collect Qurbani meat from different areas and distribute it respectfully to struggling families, elderly people, widows, unemployed individuals, and others in need. This charitable effort strengthens the spirit of humanity, care, and community support.

Those involved in this community initiative include Athar, Zubair, Imran, Omar, Sumera, Asima, Husaam, Umair, Imam, Musa, Hashim, Salahuddin, Yusuf, Majid, and Zahid, who continue to serve the community every year through their voluntary efforts.

The CEO of Open Kitchen Manchester, Muhammad Shehzad Ali Mirza, praised the efforts of Athar Bhai and said that he is doing remarkable work for the community. He explained that every year a portion of Qurbani meat is donated to Open Kitchen Manchester, which is then distributed to vulnerable and deserving individuals.

Muhammad Shehzad Ali Mirza further stated that people begin contacting Open Kitchen Manchester even before Eid regarding Qurbani meat, which clearly shows that many families genuinely rely on this support during Eid-ul-Adha.

He added that the entire team of Open Kitchen Manchester, along with all volunteers and donors, is grateful to everyone contributing to this noble cause and prays for those supporting the initiative. He expressed hope that more people will join this humanitarian effort in the future so that no needy person is left without the joy and blessings of Eid.
