A huge sum of half a million pounds is needed by April to protect the rights of the first Muslim community in the UK to the Quillum Mosque. The Quillum Society is working towards this.

[10:26, 19/02/2025] Arif Ch. uk: The Abdullah Quilliam Society in Liverpool has to raise a huge sum of five hundred thousand pounds by April 30 to save the ownership of the Quilliam Mosque, the first mosque in the UK established by the Muslim community. If this is not possible, the chances of losing the ownership of the mosque are very bright. It should be remembered that this place was first a nightclub and then a warehouse – if this money cannot be raised now, it may become a nightclub again – a ceremony was held at the Muslim Heritage Centre in Manchester to collect the resources and financial support needed to buy the mosque site and save the buildings and renovate it. In which Co-Chair Dr. Hameed – Trustee Ajmal Masroor – Chief Executive Officer Momin – Religious Scholar Sheikh Abdul Rahim Green – Ustad Amina Black – Councilor Naila Sharif – Deputy Lieutenant Sadia Dean – Chairman Muslim Heritage Center Nasir Mahmood and leading figures of the community – including Syed Tahir Naseer – Sajid-ur-Rehman – Mutabar Hussain – were present – Trustee Ajmal Masroor said that with your cooperation we have raised funds for the construction of the Columbine Mosque and we hope that you will contribute your full contribution to it – Religious Scholar Sheikh Abdul Rahim Green and Ustad Amina Black said that it is a good thing to organize a fundraising event to save and build the historic mosque – It is our responsibility as the Muslim community to actively participate in the construction of this historic building – The Chief Executive Officer of the mosque Momin said that it is the oldest mosque in the UK – We also bought the adjacent building to expand it Financial support is needed for this – it is our responsibility as Muslims to play our part in preserving this historic mosque – other people participating in the fundraising campaign also expressed their determination that it is our first responsibility as Muslims to donate generously to the construction of this building – and participants appealed to the public to donate generously in this effort to preserve the heritage of Islam in Britain and to keep our future generations aware of the arrival and history of Islam in Britain

The Muslim community in Britain has the first responsibility of the Muslim community living throughout the UK to protect the ownership rights of the Quilliam Mosque in Liverpool
