Acting Consul General of the Pakistani Consulate in Manchester, Owais Hussain Farooqi and Community Welfare Attaché Misbah Noreen organized a ceremony to observe the Privilege Day by condemning India’s unilateral and illegal actions of 5th August 2019

– in which India revoked the special status of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. This was followed by the national anthem of Pakistan.

The ceremony was attended by Raja Najabat Hussain, Founder and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, Sitara Pakistan, Former Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Yasmin Dar, Chief Executive of CMM, Farzana Afzal, Nina Rani Khan, Sabra Naheed Chaudhry, Rubina Khan, Dr. Mehwish Jabeen, Councillor Shahbaz Sarwar, Councillor Rab Nawaz, Aqsa, Javed Tariq and a large number of members of the Pakistani community. – Acting Consul General, Owais Hussain Farooqi read out special messages from President Asif Ali Zardari and Community Welfare Attaché on the occasion of the Privilege Day of Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif. On this occasion, Acting Consul General Tariq Wazir and Community Welfare Attaché Misbah Noreen said that today we are observing Black Day. Kashmiris around the world should unite and urge the international community to take notice of the continued illegal and unjust oppression of the innocent people of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India. The participants condemned the Indian move to revoke Article A-370 illegally and unconstitutionally 6 years ago. The participants expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people and demanded that India stop human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir. They stressed the urgent need to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. They suggested preparing a roadmap of measures and activities to reach out to the British Parliament and decision-makers for a just resolution of the dispute. The Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International and his team presented a special shield to Acting Consul General Owais Hussain Farooqi for the successful organization of the Black Day ceremony. Pakistani Consulate Officer Chaudhry Amir and his team deserve congratulations for organizing the program in a short time.
