. The politics of Pakistan and the issues of the community were discussed in detail.
The chief guest, newly elected councilor Asif Ranjha, said that the purpose of the meeting was to understand each other’s mutual views so that the community could be better served. The host, Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz, congratulated Asif Ranjha on the electoral success of the Green Party and said that we have to play a key role not only in Pakistan but also in the political system of the UK and bring the issues of the community to the houses. The participants emphasized that we should be part of political parties and taking forward the manifesto is the need of the hour. It is our resolve to further strengthen ties with the community after the elections. Tariq Mukhtar also attended the meeting and appreciated the consultation for the betterment of the community. The mutual harmony, unity and consensus among the Pakistani community living in the UK, above political affiliation, reflects the important role it plays in the betterment of the community.
