In which the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Shakeel Ahmed, Deputy Leader Ali Adalat, Deputy Mayor-designate Councillor Faisal Rana – and other prominent figures including Councillors Wazir Shah, Professor Iftikhar Ahmed, Community Leader Javed Akhtar, Abdul Rauf Qureshi, Dr. Tahir Bashir Baig, Pervez Akhtar, Solicitors Nazakat Khan, Asim Ali, Qamar Zaman, Muneeb Qureshi, Muhammad Razaq, Muhammad Shaukat participated. Before the Iftar dinner, Farooq Qureshi presented a check on his behalf to Mayor Shakeel Ahmed for the Mayor’s Charity in his office – Mayor Rochdale Councillor Shakeel Ahmed thanked the host for providing the opportunity to sit with friends at the Iftar party. And gave a check for the Mayor Charity – Consultant Dr. Tahir Bashir Baig said that once again he got the opportunity to meet the Mayor, for which he sincerely thanks the host Farooq Qureshi. Hosts Farooq Qureshi and Fawad Farooq said that Mayor Shakeel Ahmed is doing outstanding services for the community and he honored us by accepting our Iftar party invitation. We sincerely thank him – Deputy Mayor Faisal Rana – Deputy Leader Ali Adalat – Community Leader Javed Akhtar – Councilor Shah Wazir Other participants in the ceremony also sincerely thanked the host Farooq Qureshi who had the Mayor break his fast with other important people of the Rochdale community and had a fruitful discussion about mutual exchange and promoting mutual unity and harmony within the community.
The month of Ramadan plays a significant role in promoting mutual unity and harmony within the community, and teaches patience, tolerance and forgiveness.
