The NUJ is asking members, branches and chapels to donate to the International Federation of Journalists’ special Afghanistan Solidarity Fund. All money raised will go directly to providing support to Afghan colleagues, to get them to safety or provide them with funds to survive.
Fight secrecy! Your right to know is under constant attack from government. The Campaign for Freedom of Information (CFOI) is challenging these attacks and trains journalists in how to use the legislation. But the CFOI’s future is in danger and that is why it has launched an appeal for a crowdfunded £50,000 so it can continue to defend the legislation.
