Gulbahar Girls College Marks Pakistan’s Independence with Patriotic Zeal and Inspiring Speeches.

PESHAWAR:(Report by Fatima Jafar) According to UG news UK United kingdom,Government City Girls Degree College Gulbahar hosted a grand and dignified ceremony in connection with Ma’raka-e-Haq-e-Azadi Pakistan, filling the air with patriotic fervor and renewed national spirit. The college auditorium was adorned with green crescent-and-star flags and colorful buntings, resonating with the melodies of national songs as students delivered impassioned speeches and staged captivating tableaus.

The ceremony was graced by Additional Director, Higher Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, and Director P&D, Higher Education Department, Javed Akbar, who awarded certificates to top-performing students. College Principal Prof. Rabia Sikandar was also present on the occasion.

Students, in their heartfelt speeches, reflected on the significance of independence, shared stories of sacrifice, and envisioned a bright future for Pakistan. Young children charmed the audience with beautifully choreographed tableaus set to patriotic tunes, receiving thunderous applause from attendees.

In his keynote address, Muhammad Iqbal Khan described independence as a divine blessing attained through immense sacrifice and relentless struggle. “The enthusiasm and passion I see in your faces today prove that the love for Pakistan is alive in our new generation,” he said. “Our daughters are our pride and identity. Your progress in education and training is not only a success for your families but for the entire nation. Seventy-seven years ago, our elders sacrificed everything for freedom—now it is our duty to place Pakistan among the world’s leading nations through knowledge, research, ethics, and unity.”

He urged students to recognize their potential, dream big, and embrace hard work as their guiding principle. “When daughters advance in education and skills, the future of the nation shines brighter,” he added.

Principal Prof. Rabia Sikandar praised the students’ performances, reminding them that independence is not just a day of celebration but a continuous journey of hard work, solidarity, and sacrifice. “If today’s generation is strong in both knowledge and character, Pakistan will achieve a distinguished place in the world,” she stated.

The success of the event was also attributed to CBS and Academic Incharge Ms. Saadia, History Department’s Qurat-ul-Ain, and Sports Incharge Ms. Najma Naz Qazi, whose efforts ensured a memorable celebration. A large number of teachers and students participated, waving flags and singing the national anthem, turning the day into an unforgettable patriotic experience.
