Iftar Dinner Held at Makki Mosque, Manchester on the Occasion of Ashura

Manchester: A prestigious Iftar dinner was hosted at Makki Mosque in Longsight, Manchester, on the occasion of Ashura of Muharram. The event was organized by renowned businessman and community figure Tahir Siddiq Chaudhry of Blackstone Property.

The Iftar gathering was attended by Member of Parliament Afzal Khan, Pakistan’s Consul General Imtiaz Feroz Gondal, former Councillor Rab Nawaz Akbar, Haroon Afzal Khattana, Mustafa Mughal, Mahboob Elahi Butt, Tajammal Gurmani, Munir Ahmed Gondal, Muhammad Khateeb, along with many distinguished personalities, community leaders, and local residents from various walks of life.

Guests were served a variety of traditional dishes, including mutton qorma, chicken pilau, halwa, fresh fruits, and refreshments. The attendees highly appreciated the hospitality, delicious food, and excellent arrangements made by the organizers.

Participants praised the event, stating that such gatherings play an important role in promoting unity, brotherhood, mutual respect, and social cohesion within the Muslim community. They also commended the efforts of the host and organizers for bringing together members of the community in a spirit of harmony and solidarity.

The attendees expressed hope that similar events would continue to be organized in the future to further strengthen community ties and foster mutual understanding and cooperation.
