Mayor Councillor Janet Emsley said that she feels proud to participate in the Pakistan Independence Day ceremony. The mutual unity and harmony within the multicultural community in Rochdale is exemplary. Razia Shamim, the leader of the Pakiza Group, said that the Pakistan Independence Day ceremony was organized for women, in which women participated enthusiastically. I thank Mayor Janet Emsley, who especially enhanced the splendor of the ceremony. The Nazim congratulated the Pakistani community on Pakistan Independence Day. Councilor Samina Zaheer said that Pakistan Independence Day celebrations have been going on in Rochdale for a long time. Today, the Pakiza Women Group organized it, on which I extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone on Pakistan Independence Day. Imtiaz said that today’s ceremony was organized especially by women. I congratulate everyone on Pakistan Independence Day. I pray that Allah Almighty will grant Pakistan progress and prosperity, Amen. Other participants in the ceremony also extended their heartfelt congratulations to the community on Pakistan Independence Day and emphasized mutual unity and understanding within the intercultural community.
The participation of the interfaith and cultural community in various events held on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day in Rochdale is a living example of mutual unity, agreement and harmony.
