PESHAWAR:(Special Correspondent) According to UG NEWS, Inspector General of Prisons Mr. Rehan Gul Khattak paid a detailed visit to Central Jail Karak. Upon arrival at the jail, a colorful contingent greeted the guest. Superintendent Jail Nasir Khattak along with his staff welcomed the guest warmly. During the visit, the distinguished guest officially launched a tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling, which aims to ensure a green and lush environment and a safe future for future generations. The IG Prisons visited the center established for drug addicts inside the jail and a computer literacy center for drug addicts was formally inaugurated there, so that they can be equipped with modern skills and lead a dignified and independent life. Later, the Inspector General of Prisons visited various barracks, hospitals, juvenile sections and including the Langar Khana where the prisoners wore a turban of honor on the distinguished guest. And presented him with bouquets. And the Inspector General of Prisons listened to their problems with great kindness and issued orders on the spot to resolve some of the problems. Finally, the distinguished guest distributed certificates of appreciation among the members of the prison staff who showed excellent performance, appreciated the services of the Superintendent of Prisons for the facilities provided to the prisoners and detainees of Central Jail Karak, and the Superintendent of Prisons and the staff presented the distinguished guest with a shield of honor and gifts.
