PESHAWAR:(Special Representative)According to UG NEWS, in the light of special instructions from Additional Chief Secretary Home Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ikramullah, Inspector General of Prisons Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rehan Gul Khattak, along with ADC General Khyber, Ehsanullah, conducted a detailed inspection of the land allocated for the proposed District Jail Khyber in Shah Kas. On this occasion, the proposed project, available facilities and land-related issues were reviewed. Later, the Inspector General of Prisons visited Sub-Jail Jamrud, where he inspected the food arrangements provided to the prisoners, met the prisoners directly and listened to their problems. He conducted a comprehensive inspection of all parts of the jail and declared the overall arrangements satisfactory and as per the prescribed standards. Furthermore, the IG Prisons also visited the office of the District and Sessions Judge Khyber, where detailed discussions were held on land issues related to the proposed District Jail. The visit was a comprehensive and long-term visit covering administrative, reformatory and developmental aspects, with the aim of making the jail system more effective and standardised.
