PESHAWAR:(Special Representative)According to UG NEWS,The Inspector General of Prisons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Rehan Gul Khattak, paid a comprehensive visit to District Jail Kohat. During the visit, he inaugurated several important welfare- and reform-oriented initiatives, including the newly constructed Jail Hospital, the newly established Drug Rehabilitation Centre, a Video Link Facility for court productions, as well as the newly established Library and Chakkar Office.The Inspector General of Prisons, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, also kindly received applications from both jail staff and inmates and assured them that all genuine issues would be addressed and resolved at the earliest. In addition, the Worthy Inspector General planted two mature olive saplings within the jail premises and appreciated the ongoing cleanliness and beautification drive, encouraging the jail administration to continue these efforts.Furthermore, he inspected the under-construction boundary wall and directed the concerned authorities to expedite the work while strictly ensuring adherence to the approved standards and quality.The visit of the Worthy Inspector General of Prisons was a great honour and a source of motivation for the staff and inmates of District Jail Kohat, reflecting the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s commitment to prison reforms, improved administration, and enhanced inmate welfare.
