- On this occasion, Mayor Warrington Moh Hussain – Mayor Rochdale Janet Emsley – Lord Macker Chester Shireen Akhtar and Assistant High Commissioner Bangladesh Jobid Hossain were also present – LRA also presented a cheque for £2000 which will be distributed among the four mayor’s charities – Assistant High Commissioner Bangladesh Jobid Hossain was given a special shield by Mayor Oldham – – Various personalities were given certificates of appreciation for their community services – LRA team walked many miles during Ramadan while fasting to raise money for charity – Sajjad-ur-Rehman alone walked 195 kilometers – The four mayors and the Assistant High Commissioner Bangladesh appreciated the initiative of the LRA team to raise charity and paid tribute to them – LR The LRA team and people from different departments were appreciated for their work for the community and were awarded special certificates of appreciation by the four mayors – Sajjad-ur-Rehman – Mutabar Hussain and Amin Babar Chaudhry were also given shields. Others included Asha and Iffat of Charidian Post Office and community leader Salehuddin and others. Senior Asian journalist from the UK, Arif Chaudhry, was also awarded special certificates of appreciation for his journalistic services. The awardees thanked the LRA team. Amin Babar Chaudhry performed the duties of the stage secretary. Finally, Asian food was served to the guests.
