Manchester: JKSDMI special meeting on the ninth death anniversary of Burhan Wani Shaheed, tributes to Kashmiri martyrs, planning for future events, participation of Pakistani senators and ministers expected

Manchester (Arif Chaudhry) A special condolence meeting was held in Manchester on the ninth death anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani Shaheed under the auspices of Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) under the leadership of its founding chairman Raja Najabat Hussain Sitara Pakistan. The meeting not only paid rich tributes to Shaheed Burhan Wani and other Kashmiri martyrs but also planned future Kashmir activities across the UK.

The meeting was presided over by JKSDMI Patron Sardar Abdul Rehman Khan while the special guest was former Advisor to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Shaukat Khaliq Advocate. The meeting was specially attended by former Lord Mayor of Manchester and Chairperson of the International Kashmir Lobby Council Yasmin Dar, Vice Chairman JKSDMI UK Amjad Hussain Mughal, Administration Director Harry Botha, Chairperson Greater Manchester Rubina Khan, Chairperson Cheshire Nina Rania Khan, Dr. Mehwish Jabeen, Momina Latif and Mahnoor Latif.

During the meeting, the participants paid tribute to the continuity of the Kashmir freedom movement and the sacrifices of the martyrs and said that the struggle of youth like Burhan Muzaffar Wani Shaheed has raised the morale of Kashmiris and made the world aware of the reality of the Kashmir issue.

On this occasion, the JKSDMI team announced that events and activities in support of Kashmir will be organized in various cities of the UK, including the British Parliament, in July and August to highlight the Kashmir issue at the global level. Honorable Senators Dr. Muhammad Humayun Mohmand, Senator Faisal Saleem and Ministers of Azad Kashmir Ms. Sabiha Sadiq, Ms. Imtiaz Naseem and Chaudhry Ahmer Yasin from Pakistan have also been specially invited to these activities to express solidarity with the Kashmiris.

At the end of the meeting, a unanimous resolution was passed demanding the British government to exert diplomatic pressure on the Indian government to immediately release the Kashmiri political prisoners imprisoned in Indian jails.
