Convention Resolutions and Chief Guest’s Address:

Speakers strongly condemned the letter sent by PMDC to the Health Minister, terming it an illegal and unethical act and a grave mistake by PMDC. All speakers expressed severe resentment over PMDC’s dictation.

Chief Guest Sharafatullah Yousafzai, while expressing deep regret over PMDC’s unjustified criticism of the AHP and Pharmacy Councils, stated: “We have respected doctors on every forum, but in response, PMDC was pressurized into writing a favorable letter to label us as quacks without any thought.”

He added, “The factories of quackery are established in your clinics, where hundreds of thousands of under-matric quacks administer injections, drips, and conduct laboratory tests, X-rays, ECGs, etc. You do not employ qualified Allied Health Professionals and Nurses due to higher salaries. These same under-matric individuals later open shops in their areas. Thus, you are the ones promoting quackery, and this has continued for 70 years, yet the blame is placed on us.”

Demands from AHP Council:

Sharafatullah Yousafzai demanded the AHP Council officials to:
1. The Allied Health Professionals Council has done nothing wrong. Parliament granted you these powers through the Council Act 2022.
2. Respond to PMDC in the council meeting to be held in May. Every council is autonomous.
3. Formulate regulations for a uniform and improved service structure and education system.
4. Send letters to all provincial Healthcare Commissions to immediately stop the humiliation of qualified Allied Health Professionals.
5. Make the registration process easier and faster.

He announced, “5 million Allied Health Professionals across the country stand with the Council and its decisions.”

The Chief Guest paid rich tribute to Syed Ansar Hamdani, Chairman of the Advisory Committee, and the committee members.

Address by Convention President:

Finally, Convention President Malik Munir Ahmad thanked all central and provincial leaders from across the country and stressed unity, stating, “Our survival and the Council’s survival lie only in staying united.” He congratulated local office bearers and workers for making the convention a success.
