Other participants included Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Lucy Powell, Former Lord Mayor Councillor Abid Latif Chohan, President of the Muslim League-N City Manchester Nabil Butt, Dr. Younis Parwaz, Chief Executive Mustafa Sharif Dr. Fassa, Sabra Naheed, Community Leader and Chairman Open Kitchen Shahzad Mirza – Press Club of Pakistan UK President Mahmood Asghar Chaudhry, in addition to a large number of members of the Pakistani community. Dr. Mehwish Jabeen was a manager at the Pakistani Community Centre and had been suffering from cancer for the past several years. She obtained a degree in psychology during her illness. She passed away last week at the age of thirty-two. She lost her life fighting a deadly disease like cancer at the age of 18. The participants in the prayer ceremony said that the Pakistani community has lost every dear personality and community worker.
Dr. Fasih said that Dr. Mehwish Jabeen was at the forefront of love and service to the community. She also did a lot for our charity Mustafa Sharif. May Allah Almighty grant her a place in Paradise and grant patience to the bereaved family, Amen.
