Mayor Pendle Chaudhry Aslam couple presented certificates of appreciation to those who rendered community services at a grand ceremony at the Town Hall. The Consul General of Pakistan in Manchester, Muhammad Tariq Wazir, and the High Sheriff of Lancashire, Helen Bingley, and former Member of British Parliament were also presented with Life Achievement Awards. Other award recipients included Jabeen Kausar, Chief Executive of Abasin Foundation, and Mujahid Bin Jamshed, Director, Nelson Morrison Superstore, Shahid Akbar, Chief Executive of Local Charity, Sajjad Butt, Shahid Khokhar Khalid, and others. On this occasion, the Public Consul General Tariq Wazir said that I am very happy to be here today. Serving the community of Pakistan is my duty. My services are available 24 hours a day for overseas Pakistanis.
