Haripur:(Special Representative)According to UG NEWS,The University of Haripur successfully hosted a prestigious Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, marking a significant step towards strengthening academic-industry-government collaboration. The MoU was signed between the University of Haripur, the Fisheries Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Livestock Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Awan Protein Farms Haripur.The ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries from various sectors. Representing the Fisheries Department KP were Mr. Zubair Ali, Director General Fisheries KP, and Mr. Fawad Khakil, Director Planning Fisheries KP. From the Livestock Department KP, Dr. Asal Khan, Director General Livestock KP, attended the event. Awan Protein Farms was represented by Haji Rafiq Awan, Chief Executive Officer, along with Mr. Asad Awan, Director of the organization.
From the University of Haripur, the event was honored by the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, Registrar Mr. Riaz Muhammad, Dean Faculty of Biological and Biomedical Sciences Prof. Dr. Aziz Ullah, and Head of the Department of Biology, Dr. Asma Ul Husna. The ceremony was further supported by focal persons Dr. Sara Latif (Assistant Professor-Department of Biology) and Dr. Asif Ali (Lecturer-Department of Biology), who played a key role in organizing and facilitating the event.
The ceremony commenced with the name of Almighty Allah, setting a solemn and respectful tone. The signing of the MoU symbolizes a shared commitment to promoting research, innovation, and practical collaboration in the fields of fisheries, livestock, and poultry production. This partnership is expected to create valuable opportunities for students, researchers, and stakeholders, contributing to regional development and food security.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, souvenirs and commemorative gifts were presented to the distinguished guests, including the Director Generals of Fisheries and Livestock, as well as representatives of Awan Protein Farms. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, followed by a group photograph and a guided visit of the university facilities.This MoU reflects the University of Haripur’s continued commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships that bridge academia with industry and government, paving the way for sustainable development and innovation in the agricultural and biological sciences sectors.
