During the meeting, the full scope of bilateral relations was reviewed. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepen political, economic, environmental and people-to-people ties. Regional and global issues were also discussed.
The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to economic reforms, and expressed Pakistan’s vision for regional developments, including peace and stability in South Asia. He stressed the importance of a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Both leaders appreciated the positive relations between Pakistan and the UK and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They also stressed the importance of maintaining regular high-level contacts to further energize existing relations and explore new avenues for strategic cooperation.
