The funeral prayer of Nasir Aziz, a prominent social community and religious figure of Oldham, who passed away due to cardiac arrest yesterday, was offered at the local Medina Mosque, Waterloo Street. The funeral prayer was led by Maulana Qari Abdul Shakoor Qadri, the predecessor of Medina Jamia Mosque, Oldham. A large number of people from the community attended the funeral, and every eye was filled with tears. Nasir Aziz was the brother of the late businessman Tariq Aziz. On this occasion, Tariq Aziz and Naseemullah Khan said in a very sorrowful tone that he was very kind, compassionate and possessed of high qualities. His memories will always be with us. May Allah Almighty grant him a place in the realm of mercy. Maulana Qari Abdul Shakoor Qadri offered a special prayer and said that the deceased had all the qualities that any human being should have. The moments spent with him are memorable. May Allah Almighty grant him a high place in Paradise. Amen. Amen. After the funeral prayers, he was laid to rest in the local cemetery of Chadderton.
