PESHAWAR: Ikramuddin, Founder And Central President of Jazba Ittihad Union of Journalists and Chief executive of Global Times newspaper, said that the video of young Amir alias Amir Tehkala giving Peshawar police officers intoxicated under social media went viral on social media.After that,Tehkal police station in-charge along with police personnel arrested Amir alias Amir Tehkal and strongly condemned the physical torture,verbal abuse by the police and virality of his immoral video.He said that the police is for the protection of the people. How long will such oppression happen to the people? If a poor accused used foul words against the police, then the poor accused violated the law.What happened to the police? Didn’t the police break the law? Is this the attitude of the illicit police towards a common citizen? What happened to Amir Tehkale by the police is a failure of the provincial government and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.It is unfortunate that the Chief Executive of Global Times newspaper Ikramuddin Talking to media, he said that there is a strong demand from Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan, IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sanaullah Abbasi that the police officers and other police personnel involved in the atrocities on Amir alias Amir Tehkala ,The incident took place on the instructions of Peshawar police officers against whom there should be a transparent investigation and the Peshawar police officers who were involved in the incident should be suspended and legal action should be taken against them. So that this incident does not happen to any other citizen tomorrow.
