According to him, since the chairman of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was not elected as a member of parliament, his immunity has ended: Decisions about him are waiting on the shelves of the Constitution and Justice Commission.Parliamentary and presidential elections were held in Turkey on May 14. The ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) will be represented in the legislative body by 268 deputies. The Nationalist Movement Party won 50 seats, the New Prosperity Party 5 seats, the Green Left Party 61 seats, the Turkish Workers Party 4 seats, the Republican People’s Party (CHP) 169 seats, and the İYİ Party 43 seats. It should be noted that the current President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be sworn in at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on June 3 and will begin his duties. After taking the oath, the President will announce the composition of the new government and hold a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. It should be recalled that the second round of presidential elections was held in Turkey on May 28. RT Erdogan, the candidate of the “Republican Union”, the chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party, was re-elected as the head of state with 52.18 percent of the votes. His opponent, the candidate of the “Millet Union” and the chairman of the opposition Republican People’s Party, Kamal Kılıçdaroğlu, collected 47.82 percent of votes.
