Manchester: The Greater Manchester Chattogram Samity (GMCS), in collaboration with MCR NRB Professionals Circle, organized a free professional seminar and discussion titled “Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology: Opportunities for Business, Career and Community Development” at Open Kitchen Manchester.
The event, held at the Open Kitchen Manchester Hall, attracted a large number of community members, including men, women, and young people. The seminar commenced at 3:30 PM and continued until 5:30 PM.
The keynote speaker was Dr Munir Bhuiyan, who currently serves as a Vice President and Solutions Architect at an international corporate and investment bank. Dr Bhuiyan holds a PhD in Computing and possesses extensive expertise in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, and Cyber Security.
During his presentation, Dr Bhuiyan emphasized the growing impact of artificial intelligence by stating:
“The future is something we build. Let’s build it together.”
He explained that AI is no longer limited to large corporations and technology companies but has become an integral part of small businesses, education, employment, community services, and everyday life. He encouraged participants, particularly young people, to develop technological skills and prepare themselves for future opportunities.
At the conclusion of the event, Muhammad Shehzad Ali Mirza, Chief Executive Officer of Open Kitchen Manchester, expressed his gratitude to Khair Uz Zaman and the organizing team. He stated that such seminars play a vital role in promoting modern technology and community development and reaffirmed Open Kitchen Manchester’s commitment to supporting educational and technological initiatives in the future.
Participants described the seminar as “highly informative and beneficial,” noting that it provided practical insights into the application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Greater Manchester Chattogram Samity (GMCS), which has been serving the Chattogram community in Manchester since 1996, stated that it will continue organizing free educational and professional development programs to connect the community with modern education, technology, and future career opportunities.
