The Mayor of Blackburn, UK, Councillor Brian Taylor has chosen two of his chosen charities, CRV and Pepi Rush. (CRY and PAPYRUS) at Waheed’s Restaurant – in which the local community, in addition to business and social and political figures, participated actively in fundraising – Other participants included former British Member of Parliament Katie Holleran – Mayor Hyndburn Mike Booth – Former Mayor Raja Iftikhar Hussain – Former Mayor Councillor Pervez Akhtar – Councillor Shaukat Ali Shawki – Former Mayor Jim Shawker – Deputy Leader Councillor Julie Drone – Mayors Emma Taylor – Chairman of Pakistan Welfare Association Chaudhry Ajaib – President Kashmiri Association Javed Iqbal Butt – Former Pakistani cricketer Tariq Mahmood – Councillor Raja Babar – Chaudhry Tasleem Fazal – Principal Chief Executive Blackburn College Fazal Dad – The credit for the success of the Mayor’s Charity fundraising dinner goes to former Mayors Iftikhar Hussain – Councillor Pervez Akhtar and Councillor Shaukat Ali Shawki and local sponsors – Those who purchased rifle tickets Prizes were also awarded at the raffle – The participants appreciated the community’s strong participation and fundraising at the Mayor’s Charity Dinner – All proceeds from today’s fundraising will be given to the Mayor’s chosen charities, CODEC Risk in Young and SUICIDE Prevention in Young People – The participants further said that today we enjoyed the friendly and pleasant atmosphere – It was nice to see the support of the community – We should all play our part for a good cause – Mayor Brian Taylor – Former Mayor Raja Iftikhar Hussain – Former Mayor Councillor Pervez Akhtar – Councillor Shaukat Ali Shawki thanked all the guests present at the event for participating in the Mayor’s fundraising –
