The British Parliamentarians expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir for the right to self determination at Jammu & Kashmir Parliamentary Conference held at the British Parliament. It was organised by Jammu & Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) team, led by Founding Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain organised the conference and presided by the Senior Vice Chairman APPG on Jammu & Kashmir Tahir Ali MP on the occasion of Jammu & Kashmir Solidarity Day.
High Commissioner of Pakistan, Dr. Mohammad Faisal attended the conference as the Chief Guest. A significant number of British Parliamentarians, officers of Pakistan High Commission, Kashmiris and delegates from all over the UK attended to show solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
High Commissioner, in his key note remarks, reiterated that the people and government of Pakistan, reaffirm full moral, diplomatic and political support; to the Kashmiri people in the rightful struggle for self-determination, as per the UN Security Council Resolutions. He said that the struggle of the Kashmiri people was not just their fight; but a test of the world’s collective conscience, where voices of innocent Kashmiris were stifled and freedoms curtailed.

British Parliamentarians, speaking at the conference, unanimously expressed solidarity and supported the struggle of Kashmiris for the inalienable right to self determination. They stated that arbitrary detention of senior leaders, communication blackout and serious human rights’ abuses have been going for far too long, by Indian occupation forces. British Parliamentarians remarked that Pakistan has always welcomed them to visit Azad Jammu & Kashmir, while India restricts their access to IIOJK, to hide Indian atrocities. The Parliamentarians emphasized that Jammu & Kashmir dispute was not a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan, rather it was an international issue that needed immediate attention of all stakeholders.

JKSDMI Chairman, Raja Najabat Hussain in his remarks thanked the APPG on Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan High Commission, Government of Pakistan and British Parliamentarians for their continued support and cooperation for highlighting the Jammu & Kashmir dispute at all fora.
