Women’s CHAI Group founder and director Najma Khalid held an event at Eastern Pole Hall, Oldham to empower women and promote their mental and physical health. Mayor of Oldham Councillor Dr Zahid Chauhan, former Lord Mayor of Manchester Councillor Yasmin Dar, mental health expert Dr Yasir Abbasi, business and political figure Anil Mussarat, former councillor Yasmin Toor, Dr Hadiya Wahaj, Chief Executive of Focus Trust Helen Ronald and other community leaders attended the event. The event was sponsored by Manchester Properties. On this occasion, Najma Khalid, founder and director of Chai Group, said that the aim of the event is to empower women in society so that they can play an active role in improving and changing the community. Asian women play a prominent role in all walks of life, but their services are not appreciated. We are working on this too. Mayor Councillor Dr. Zahid Chohan said that I was happy to hear the progress and ideas of women. Our women are still far behind. This gap will be reduced only when women work together with men. Former Lord Mayor of Manchester Councillor Yasmin Dar said that Asian women are playing an active role in society. Women should also raise their voices about human rights violations at the global level, such as those taking place in Kashmir and Palestine. Mental health expert Dr. Yasir Abbasi said that we are raising awareness about women’s mental health because they have to raise our next generation, so it is important for them to be mentally and physically healthy. Business and social personality Anil Musarat said that we want our women to play their role in all walks of life of the society. He added that earlier there were problems due to cultural division, but now with awareness our women are active in every field. Helen Ronald, Chief Executive of the Focus Group, said that the role of the Tea Group is very important in the education and development of women. Former Councilor Yasmin Komal Toor said that organizing such an event is a golden opportunity for women who are providing professional services in different walks of life to encourage other women. Dr. Hadiya Wahaj said that the Tea Group has provided a golden opportunity to empower women in which they can discuss their problems and concerns. The Tea Group provides them with help and awareness to deal with problems.

The role of the Tea Group in enabling the active role of women in society will be written and known in the golden letters of history.
