The second annual three-day Punjabi conference in Manchester, in collaboration with Karwan Adab UK – Punjabi Union and Punjab Rang UK, concluded in a grand manner –

The arrangements for the program were made by prominent poet and President Karwan Adab UK Sabir Raza and International Promoter Razia Chaudhry in collaboration with Easy Money Chairman Dr. Liaquat Malik – Prominent Pakistani journalist and Chairman Punjabi Union Mudassar Butt came from Pakistan as a special guest. Scholars and writers associated with Punjabi language from all over the world participated in the conference. On this occasion, writers and intellectuals from Punjab including Professor Zahid Hassan, Mansoor Afaq, Ehsan Shahid, Dr. Azhar Mahmood, Mahmood Asghar Chaudhry, Ayub Sanghia, Umair Manzoor, Senior Journalist Tahir Chaudhry, Shagufta Gani, Harjinder Singh, Manjit Singh, Blair Kathuria, Asif Saleem Mitha, Dr. Fahad Hassan, Sikandar Nawaz, Naeem Thathal, Tahir Hafeez, Ali Imran, Hassan Farzoq, Ishtiaq Mir , Samia Naz, Liaqat Ali were present and they emphasized the importance of Punjabi language and its promotion. The participants presented the traditional culture of Punjab in a rich manner. People dressed in colorful turbans and cultural attire made the gathering full of joy. The cultural reflection of Punjab was clearly felt. Organizers Sabir Raza and Razia Chaudhry warmly welcomed the guests on all three days. The last session of the conference was chaired by Chairman Mustafa Welfare Trust Abdul Razaq Sajid. He was warmly welcomed upon his arrival. Mudassar Butt wore a traditional Punjabi turban. The topic of the closing session was Punjabi journalism. On this occasion, a Punjabi poetry session was held and folk singers performed Punjabi songs. At the end of the conference, an Allamiya was issued demanding that the Punjabi language be taught in schools, Sufism be promoted, and e-libraries be established in the UK. Abdul Razaq Sajid said that Sufi poets played an important role in the promotion of Punjabi language. appreciated the efforts of Sabir Raza and Razia Chaudhry and said that Mudassar Butt is working hard for the promotion of Punjabi in Pakistan and the UK. Mansoor Afaq also presented a song written for the services of Mustafa. The participants appreciated the services of the organization. Mudassar Butt said that 18 sessions were held in the three-day conference. He further said that Punjabi is a sweet language and it is the need of the hour to make it known to the new generation. Mansoor Afaq said that Maharaja Ranjit Singh started the first Punjabi leader. He was the first ruler of Punjab who worked for the promotion of the Punjabi language. At that time, the literacy rate was 90 percent. Umair Manzoor presented the conference declaration. A poetry session was also held while folk singers performed. The participants paid tribute to the organizers Sabir Raza-Razia Chaudhry and their team for organizing a successful Punjabi conference.
