Community leader Sidra Afzal inaugurates Autism Family Support organization office in Oldham

With the efforts of Sidra Afzal, chairperson of Autism Family Support charity and voluntary organization in Oldham, a sensory room website was established for children with autism and learning disabilities. Mayor of Rochdale Faisal Rana, Mayor of Bury Tahir Rafique Solicitor specially attended and inaugurated the sensory room website. Special shields were given to Aiza, Juhaida, Kiran and Sobia, who were doing voluntary services in Autism Family Support. A cake was also cut on the happy occasion of the inauguration. Laura Finnegan, a professional who works with children with learning disabilities and autism in Oldham, was also present, as were parents of children with autism and learning disabilities. Mayor of Rochdale Faisal Rana said that this is a great project, and more such initiatives are needed. The involvement of the community in this way is very beneficial for the children. Mayor of Bari Tahir Rafique said that I am very happy to be attending this opening ceremony today. Based on personal experience, I know how important such facilities are for families, said Aiza Noor – Jiheeda Begum – Kiran Bashir – and others. “There are excellent arrangements for sensory activities for children and mutual support for parents, where they can meet each other and share their problems.” The chairperson of the center, Sidra Afzal, thanked the guests and said that the aim of the hub is to provide services and support to families. We want this space to be a hub for them to build relationships and continue their learning.
