Former Pakistani bureaucrat Abdul Rashid Bhatti’s granddaughter and British business-political and social figure and former Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Asim Rashid and sister of Ammar Rashid and Ali Rashid, Councillor Aiza Rashid married Abdul Moeez Akhdar, son of Lahore businessman Muhammad Akhdar Fayyaz, in a special ceremony held at the British Muslim Heritage Centre in Manchester. Some time ago, the marriage ceremony of both of them was performed in Lahore, Pakistan. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by the brother of the bride Councillor Aiza Rashid. The bride and groom were warmly welcomed upon their arrival in the hall. The bride and groom cut the cake.
