Kashmir Youth Project Chief Executive Zulf Ahmed and his team organized an Iftar party at KYP Hall Rochdale, inviting the interfaith and cultural community to spread awareness about the virtues, importance and benefits of the month of Ramadan.

Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Shakeel Ahmed, Rochdale and District Mind Representative Philip Branson, Rochdale Council Director of Public Health and Community Kiana Thompson and other prominent figures participated. Mayor Rochdale Councillor Shakeel Ahmed and Chief Executive Zulf Ahmed said that the aim of inviting the interfaith and cultural community to the Iftar party is to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of fasting and this creates mutual harmony among them. Kian Thompson said that the aim of bringing the interfaith and cultural community together gives them the opportunity to understand each other’s religion and culture, which creates mutual unity within the community. Philip Branson said that by sitting together we get the opportunity to understand and know each other’s religion. Asma, who is doing professional services in the Kashmir Youth Project, said that the aim of inviting the interfaith and cultural community is to know why the Muslim community observes fasting and what is its significance and usefulness. Maddy and others who participated in the Iftar party also welcomed the interfaith and cultural Iftar party.

The Muslim community living in Rochdale is taking the lead in educating the non-religious community about the benefits, importance and virtues of fasting by inviting them to an Iftar party hosted by KYP.
