In which the Welfare Attaché posted at the Pakistani Consulate Manchester Misbah Noreen, former Mayor of Bari Councillor Shahina Haroon, former Mayor of Tameside Council Mayor Tafeen Sharif – Dr. Nazia – and other leading figures of the community including CMM Chairman Farzana Afzal, religious scholar Dr. Zunira Amber, former Lord Mayor of Manchester Councillor Yasmin Dar – Pamela Malik – Councillor Naila Sharif, Councillor Muqaddas Bano – Mehwish – International poet Naghmana Kanwal – Rubina Khan – Mustafa Sharif’s successor Samina Khan – Humaira Salik participated. On this occasion, Dr. Fashee Aur, a religious scholar, Dr. Zunira Amber said that in Islam, our Lord of the Universe first protected the rights of women. She further said that our message to the young generation is that the only way to live is to follow Islamic teachings. Dr. Mehwish Jabeen and Saima said that women participated in the event on the occasion of International Women’s Day and made them aware of their role. Rubina Khan and international poet Naghmana Kanwal and Dr. Nazia said that women are still suffering from numerous problems that need to be worked on and women should get their rights. Former Mayor Bari Councilor Shahina Haroon and Councilor Muqaddas Bano said that women’s problems and rights were discussed at the event on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Former Mayor of Tameside Council, Councillor Tafin Sharif, said that women are the backbone of society and we are at the forefront of playing our role in this world. Farzana Afzal said that various suggestions were discussed for women’s empowerment at the event on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Dr. Zunaira Amber and former Lord Mayor Yasmin Dar said that in Islam, women have been given more rights than men. Community Welfare Attaché Misbah Noreen said that the Holy Prophet said that morality requires that you respect your family. He gave awareness about women’s rights in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadiths. Samina Khan and Humaira Salik declared today a memorable day for women – Pamela Malik and Mehwish thanked the administration for the event organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The lesson that the Lord of the Universe, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave to the people of faith about women’s rights is a beacon for us
